"Live Blues" Review...

A new “Live Blues” review from the “Vancouver Province”...
CD OF THE WEEK
The Garage CD of the week is new but not new. The Stamer band was recorded live in 1995 at the Fairview, the tapes of which set have been restored. Stamer, now retired, always had a crack band and this one includes the late, revered Robbie King.
The fare is a diverse array of blues including a funky "Jailhouse Rock" and a version of "Red House" that allows guitarist Russ Marsland to bring out his inner Jimi Hendrix. Nice, atmospheric cover art by Tom Carter, too.
