"keep it simple" is the latest release by Dave Haddock, one of Yukon's best-loved musicians and a staple of the Territory's music scene for more than two decades.
The new album contains eleven brilliant tracks recorded between 1998 and 2001 in a variety of settings - ranging from intimate guitar/vocal performances to full band arrangements.
Among the musicians performing on the disc are West Coast heavyweights Paul Bergman, Jesse Zubot, Chris Nordquist, Tim Porter, Darryl Havers and producer Andreas Schuld.
Supported by this stellar cast, Haddock's brilliantly witty songs shine throughout, his lyrics always encouraging us to love every moment and to pay attention to the details of our emotional life.
Highlighted in the production is Haddock's exquisite guitar work and the always-tasteful playing by bassist Paul Bergman.
The disc is distributed nationally by Festival Distribution.
"... one of those rare performers who combines the fine art of songwriting with a special craft of musicianship in a way that is uniquely our Canadian own. If the Yukon had Living National Treasures for music, Dave would be my first choice, and on top of it all the kid has pipes!"
