Bill Bourne...
Some Background Info

Picture

Bill Bourne is a unique creator of music.  Critics have called him "a national treasure", "an iconoclast" and "a master folk musician".  He is the founder of Bourne & MacLeod and a Juno award winning Canadian singer - songwriter. The great grandson of Icelands' Poet Laureate, Stefan G. Stefansson, he grew up in rural Alberta listening to his parents play old time music.

His first recognition came in the eighties when he did a three year stint with Scotlands' Tannahill Weavers. The confinement of their traditional music prompted him to move on to his own material, hence the creation of Bourne & MacLeod and the release of the ground breaking LP "Dance & Celebrate".   A second Bourne & MacLeod album, "Moonlight Dancers", followed, but the compromises of the pop music
