UK TOUR 2005

The brouhaha all-star blues revue featuring

Hans Stamer - Andreas Schuld - Chris Nordquist - Brian Newcombe

Hans Stamer has to be ranked among the greatest blues and R&B vocalists anywhere...He was the frontmant for the legendary R&B Allstars for over 15 years, and has performed with James Brown, Ike and Tina Turner, and many, many others. His voice has been heard on jingles worldwide. Before his re-discovery in 1997 due to the success of "No Special Rider", the last recorded output by this great master was only available on two critically acclaimed albums for RCA with the Hans Stamer Band in the 1970's. His last album with co-hort Andreas Schuld, "You Got The Bread...We Got The Jam!" also features British legend Long John Baldry and ace drummer Chris Nordquist.

BCCMA "Guitarist of the year" Andreas Schuld's guitar stylings and production skills have been heard on many Juno-nominated recordings, among them "No Special Rider" with duo partner Hans Stamer and "Alive & Loose" by Kenny "Blues Boss" Wayne. He is a sought-after producer, his most recent masterpiece being the critically acclaimed "Remembering Leadbelly" by Long John Baldry, considered by many to be the ultimate Leadbelly tribute. One of the most-recorded guitarists on the West Coast, he can also be heard on recent CDs by Susan Crowe, Raffi, Leonard & Sample, as well as the TV series "Nightman", "Cold Squad", and "Being Ian". He has played the blues with George "Harmonica" Smith, Muddy Waters alumni Mighty Joe Young, Eddie Shaw, Robben Ford, Philip Walker, Willie Dixon, and many others too numerous to mention.

Chris Nordquist is regarded by many of his peers as one of the greatest drummers ever in the genre. Affectionately nicknamed "The Wrist" many years ago by his admirers, he has performed with countless blues legends, including Big Mama Thornton, Jay McShann, Robert Lockwood Jr., Taj Mahal, Shuggie Otis,  Pine Top Perkins, and John Hammond Jr.. He was featured on the Juno winning album "National Steel" by Colin James and Colin Linden, as well as on recent releases by Long John Baldry, Schuld & Stamer, Kenny Wayne, and Big Dave McLean.

Brian Newcombe has long been one of Canada's top session bassists. His rock-solid bottom and earthy feel have been heard in performances with such artists such as Ray Charles, Boz Scaggs, Schuld & Stamer, Peabo Bryson, Philip Bailey, and Oleta Adams.
