100 Proof Musical Theatre  (David Finley / Canada / 48m)

"100 PROOF Musical Theatre" is a behind-the-scenes look at an intriguing new theatrical experience. The Confidential Musical Theatre Project is a one-night-only presentation of a Broadway musical where the actors have not met or rehearsed together and the audience has no idea what play they are about to see. No group rehearsal, no sets, no orchestra. All the performers have to depend on is a piano player - and each other. The actors only meet 90 minutes before the performance. They work out as much as they can in that time, wait nervously in the green room as the audience gathers, and then they put on a highly improvised, hilarious and moving performance of the hit musical, "Ragtime". It's a distillation of musical theatre at its best - that also delivers a powerful message for performers and audience alike. Forget about the past, don't worry about the future. This is happening - right now.

Hearst of Steel (Gayle Wilmot / Canada / 20m)

Hearts of Steel is a fun, inspiring, compelling documentary film that follows a group of Toronto teenagers as they prepare and practise rigorously for a musical competition for steel bands. Along the way they learn leadership, commitment, trust, multi-cultural respect and the value of belonging to a musical family. The film captures their hard work, emotional stress and unbridled joy as they move toward the finish line.

Reunion Tour  (Jeremy Griffiths / Canada / 12m)

It’s been 20 years since Lars Jupiter’s (PJ Lazic) last hit! Now, he finds himself playing the same, little, hometown club; where he started. While Lars faces the end of his career, and possibly the lowest point of his life, Sophie (Julia Knope), the biological

daughter he never met, tracks him down.

Kayam Khooni  (Ali Nikfar / Iran / 6m)
