On April 14th, join gritLIT, Linden MacIntyre ( The Only Café), and Pasha Malla (Fugue States) present stories of fathers and sons on our mainstage. As these stories begin, both MacIntyre’s protagonist Cyril and Malla’s Ash Dhar are confronting the deaths of their fathers, but new information forces them to question if they knew their parent at all. is sets the scene for two gripping novels that test the often uneasy bonds between sons and fathers and question whether mysteries of the past are better left unsolved.
gritLIT is Hamilton’s annual literary festival, a four-day celebration of Canadian authors. Since its inception in 2004, the festival has built a reputation with readers in the Golden Horseshoe as a place to get “up close and personal” with their favourite authors and to discover new voices.
