Series 10dB at the LIVELab

1280 Main Street West, Hamilton, ON, Canada

Series 10dB at the LIVELab

EVENT DESCRIPTION

Entering its second season, Series 10dB is the in-house concert series of the LIVELab at McMaster University.  This one-of-a-kind music research facility hosts ground-breaking research and dozens of events throughout the year. Series 10dB is your opportunity to experience music and science in the LIVELab.

Based on survey feedback from last years ticket buyers, we're adding more science and interaction to this year's concerts – but still bringing you some of the finest musicians in the region in classical, jazz, hip-hop, traditional and experimental music.  In addition to the incredible musicians and ensembles presented we'll also be highlighting a researcher at each concert.  The researcher will connect their work to the music and musicians, the LIVELab's unique technology, and real-world applications.

Due to the incredible response last year we've also added a second showing of each concert.  The LIVELab is an intimate 100-seat venue - so more performances is the only way to grow.  This also means we commit more support to each artist so they can create a unique work just for this series.

Each night will include light snacks and a cash bar at intermission.

All concerts take place in the LIVELab.
