EVENT DESCRIPTION

October is shaping up (as usual) to being a colossal month for music. We are delighted to announce the booking of North Carolina singer-songwriter ERIC BACHMANN (Archers of Loaf, Crooked Fingers, Neko Case) on MONDAY OCTOBER 8.

Tickets go on-sale on-line Mon July 16 at Noon. Hardcopy tickets at DrDisc Hamilton & The Lounge at Casbah become available the week after.

Eric Bachmann is an American musician/producer. He is the lead singer of Crooked Fingers and Archers of Loaf. He was born in Greensboro, North Carolina and grew up in Asheville, North Carolina; Greenville, South Carolina; Nashville, Tennessee; and St. Petersburg, Florida. He currently lives in Athens, Georgia. He made two atmospheric instrumental albums as Barry Black. His first solo effort, Short Careers was recorded as a score to the film Ball of Wax. His second, To the Races, was released by Saddle Creek Records in 2006. The album, which was written while living out of his van outside Seattle the previous year, features contributions from Miranda Brown (backing vocals) and DeVotchKa violinist Tom Hagerman.

In 2013, he joined Neko Case's touring band, playing guitar and piano. On September 7, 2018, Bachmann releases his next solo album, titled 'No Recover'.

ABOUT THE ORGANIZER

The Casbah

The Casbah (located at the corners of King St West & Queen St North in the Central Neighbourhood of downtown Hamilton Ontario) opened it’s doors in January 2001. The debut event was none other than Seminal Pixies frontman Frank Black and his band the Catholics. The sold out concert was presented by the venue, and in association with a new local promoter who would one day become a more significant component to the Casbah as a live music club.
