To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the album The Kinks Are The Village Green Preservation Society, a host of Hamilton musicians will perform the record from start to finish along with other Kinks favourites.  Featured performers include Joel Banks, Andrew Barbisan, Sarah Beatty, Greg Brisco, Shane de Waard, Johan de Zoete, Matthew de Zoete, Jordan Fox, Brad Germain, Paul Hogeterp, Bill Majoros, Steve McKay, Andy Richardson, Alfie Smith, Tiny Bill Cody, and Wax Mannequin.

All proceeds will go to the Bruce Trail Conservancy to help with the preservation of the Fisher's Pond Nature Reserve through the purchase of 87 acres of Niagara Escarpment forest, meadow, and wetland near Waterdown, on the border between Hamilton and Burlington.

Long a cult favourite of music fans and critics, The Kinks Are The Village Green Preservation Society mixes joy and nostalgia to imagine a bygone world of childhood friends, motorbike riders, wicked witches, and flying cats.  An innocent, hidden place full of the everday magic of small towns and green spaces.  A refuge and escape.  Like a walk in the woods.

If you aren't familiar with the album, give it a listen.  You'll be glad you did.
