Guelph Film Festival
One of the world’s first documentary film festivals, the Guelph Film Festival is dedicated to inspiring community engagement and appreciation of the arts by connecting people through stories of global reach and local relevance.
Our festival is one of the longest-running film festivals in the country. We enjoy a solid and growing reputation as a dynamic and exciting showcase of new documentaries and for providing an exciting festival experience for the city of Guelph and its surrounding region.
Each year we feature a selection of global documentaries and short videos that focus on social justice, the environment and community building. We also feature the ever-popular children’s programming, visiting directors, panel discussions, and Hidden Histories, an annual series of local film projects that highlight the stories that enrich the Guelph experience and showcase the people who make our city special.
The Guelph Film Festival is also dedicated to ensuring that all its films are financially and physically accessible. Many of our screenings are pay-what-you-can, keeping the festival affordable for all.
